Professor Hamlyn Jones
has been Professor of Plant Ecology in the University of Dundee since 1997. His expertise is particularly in the area of plant responses to the environment, with particular emphasis on plant water relations. In addition to his interests in the plant ecology of Scotland, and especially the uplands, his current research includes studies of the impacts of climate change, improved agricultural and horticultural sustainability (e.g. through improved efficiency of irrigation systems) and remote sensing of vegetation. Lyn lives in Dundee.
