Detailed information for Stevenston Beach LNR

What you can see there

  Stevenston Beach LNR
The site has the last fully forming sand dune system left in North Ayrshire. The beach and dunes are dynamic and continually changing. The associated flora and fauna are in abundance with some unusual species such as Isle of Man cabbage, Babington’s orache and Snow Bunting noted.

Up to 2002 some leaflets have been distibuted and an interpretation plan is being prepared. The Ranger Service will be able to give more information on the Local Conservation Group which you can join or organise a guided walk.
