Celebrate Scottish Biodiversity Week this year by entering a photo into our Nature Photography Competition that captures this year’s theme:
Biodiversity is simply the variety of life. Biodiversity is all living things all around us. It is in our forests and mountains, our rivers and seas, our gardens and parks. Biodiversity is the soaring eagle, the leaping salmon, the tiny ladybird, the lowly earthworm.
Enter our competition for the chance to win one of the following great prizes:
1st prize
A day with professional photographer, Peter J Clarke
2nd prize
An all expenses paid trip with Seaprobe Atlantis, Scotland’s only semi-submersible glass bottom boat based at the Kyle of Localsh
3rd prize
Visions of Paradise published by National Geographic Magazine
Send us your best photo of animals, plants or landscapes by 31st July 2009 as an attachment in an email to bit@snh.gov.uk with “Photo Contest” in the subject line. Up to 2 entries per person may be submitted. Please also include your name and how you can be contacted. Winners will be notified in August and the winning entries will be posted on the website and highlighted in the Scottish Biodiversity Forum’s quarterly newsletter. Please carefully read the rules of the competition.
