This programme identifies objectives for the natural heritage in different parts of Scotland for the next 25 years. These are summarised in two sets of documents. The national context is considered by six themed documents which cover:

Coasts & Seas

Farmland

Forests & Woodlands

Fresh Waters

Hills & Moors

Settlements

These are complemented by 21 documents which consider the natural heritage within particular areas. The 21 areas each have their own identity resulting from the interaction of geology, landforms, landscapes, wildlife and land use, so are affected by distinct issues.
