Wildlife Crime

Unfortunately, we have a problem with wildlife crime that affects a number of different species of bird, animal and plant.Whilst this is not a huge problem it is of considerable concern to Scottish Natural Heritage and we are actively involved in the Partnership for Action Against Wildlife  Crime (PAW).

As part of SNH’S contribution to combat wildlife crime we co-ordinate the Media and Events Group that look at ways in which we can raise the profile of PAW. In partnership with other organisations such the police, voluntary bodies and voluntary groups we arrange events that highlight a particular wildlife crime.

The Paw Events are organised and co-ordinated by the PAW Media and Events Group
