Locals invited to SNH reception in Dundee
12/02/2010
Local people in and around Dundee are being invited along to an evening reception by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) in the Discovery Point Visitor Centre from 5.30 to 7.30pm on Thursday, 25 February.

Scottish Natural Heritage is the Government’s advisor on all aspects of nature and landscape across Scotland. Its role is to help everyone understand value and enjoy Scotland’s nature now and in the future.

Andrew Thin, SNH chairman, will host the event, along with local area manager, Phil Gaskell.

Andrew Thin said: "The evening will provide an opportunity for informal discussion about the work of SNH in the area, what we do and why; giving people the opportunity to raise issues relating to the natural environment which are of interest to them. This is about making senior people in SNH more accessible to the public and is also a really useful way for us to keep in touch with public perceptions of the organisation. We certainly hope many people will be able to come along and we look forward to meeting them on the night."

The event takes place in the Education Suite of the visitor centre, is free and light refreshments will be provided. Further information is available from Lucille Archer or Shona Hill at the SNH Airlie office on 01575 530 333.

Ends.
