The Sea Eagle Project Team

The sea eagle reintroduction is overseen by a Project Team who co-ordinate efforts to monitor and protect the eagles as they re-establish a breeding population in Scotland. The Team is chaired alternately by SNH and RSPB and is made up of representatives from Scottish Natural Heritage, the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, the Joint Nature Conservation Committee and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 has made it illegal to shoot, poison or otherwise kill sea eagles, to disturb them at the nest or to take their eggs.
