Places to Visit for Wildlife and Landscape - Caithness

Dunnet Head

Name: Dunnet Head

Habitat type: Coast

What can I see there?

This is the most northerly point on the British mainland and provides clear views across to nearby Orkney. The islands of Hoy, South Ronaldsay and Swona are all clearly visible and large numbers of seabirds nest on the cliffs near the lighthouse.
