The Access Forum
SNH also has a duty to review the future operation of the Code and suggest any changes that may be needed. To assist with this task, Ministers indicated that SNH should convene a national forum to bring together recreation and land management interests. A national Access Forum was previously in existence and played a major part in the development of the legislation and the draft Code, but this body had to be adapted to fulfil this new role. A public consultation was completed during 2003 to determine how this might be achieved, and SNH has now established a new Access Forum.
