Energy and the Natural Heritage

The following SNH paper on 'Energy and the Natural Heritage' outlines how energy use and generation impact upon the natural heritage, both directly and through the effects of climate change. It indicates how SNH views these energy issues, and articulates the broad approach which SNH intends to adopt when advising on the natural heritage aspects of energy-related development over the coming years. This statement supersedes an earlier draft which was circulated to a number of stakeholder organisations during December 2005/January 2006.
