Grounds for Learning

GfL is the Scottish school grounds charity which helps schools to develop and use exciting outdoor spaces for play, learning, health and well-being.

GfL can support you through:

• A free termly newsletter of ideas, case studies, news and inspiration
• Experienced advisors who can visit your school to give you guidance on how to improve your outdoor spaces
• Specialist advice on the design of grounds in new schools
• Accredited CPD training for teachers
• An annual national networking event in Spring each year
• A membership programme offering advice and support by phone / email and access to a comprehensive online resource library
• A national network of free lending resource boxes

In addition, GfL runs practical grounds improvements projects using finance from the corporate, lottery and Local Authority sectors as well as promoting good practice in the development and use of grounds to education leaders and policy makers.
